MURRAY – The American Red Cross has four blood drives scheduled in Murray this month, and with all the potential unpredictability that comes with the holiday season, the organization is encouraging as many people as possible to sign up to be a donor.

According to a news release from American Red Cross (ARC), the organization is urging donors to make an appointment to give blood or platelets right now to keep the blood supply steady over the busy holiday season. Types O positive, O negative and B negative blood donors are especially needed now and in the coming weeks, ARC said.
