Three New York ski resorts were recently named some of the best in the East and the recent snowfall might have avid skiers itching to hit those slopes across New York.
Whiteface Mountain and Gore Mountain in the Adirondacks and Holiday Valley in Western New York topped SKI Magazine's list of the 20 best East Coast ski resorts. The magazine, which focuses on all things snow and skiing, ranked resorts based off of responses from their annual Reader Resort Survey conducted last spring and analysis from the magazine itself.
"Despite having fewer bells and whistles than their Western counterparts, (East Coast resorts) often have more soul, authenticity, and straight-up classic expert terrain," SKI Magazine said.
