Bhubaneswar: With cold wave sweeping Odisha, the minimum temperature plummeted more than 5°C from normal in Jharsuguda and Angul on Tuesday.

G Udayagiri, a hill station in Kandhamal, remained the coldest place in the state for the third day at 4.8°C, followed by Semiliguda in Koraput at 6.2°, Phulbani at 6.8°C, Chiplima in Bhadrak 7.3°C and Rourkela at 7.6°C.

Similarly, Bhawanipatna recorded 9°C, Korapur and Sundargarh 10°C each, Nabarangpur 10.4°C, Balangir 10.5°C, Keonjhar 10.8°C, and Sambalpur 11.6°C. The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack saw a slight rise in the night temperature than yesterday. The state capital recorded 13.7°C , while the mercury stood at 12.6°C in Cuttack.
