Bhubaneswar : Temperatures have dipped significantly in various parts of Odisha, as a cold wave continues to grip the state. The mercury has plunged to 4.8°C in G. Udayagiri, marking the lowest temperature recorded in the state so far.
Eleven places in Odisha recorded temperatures at or below 10°C, with Semiliguda recording 6.2°C, Phulbani 6.8°C, Chipilima 7.3°C, Rourkela 7.6°C, and Daringbadi 8°C. Angul and Bhawanipatna recorded 9°C each, while Kirei registered 9.3°C. Koraput and Sundargarh recorded 10°C each.
As per the data recorded at 8:30 am, Jharsuguda recorded 7°C and Rourkela recorded 9.1°C. The cold wave has also led to dense fog, causing visibility problems in the regions.
