American authorities have shared a new image of Ryan Wedding , the top fugitive and alleged drug kingpin, as they search for the Canadian ex-Olympic snowboarder in Mexico.

The FBI, in a statement to the Star this week, shared a new photograph of Wedding, 44, that was believed to have been taken in Mexico sometime last summer. The image shows him lying in bed with wispy hair, a tousled beard and a large tattoo of what appears to be a lion head on his chest. His mouth is shut as his blue eyes stare directly into the camera.

Investigators previously said there was some evidence that Wedding may have undergone plastic surgery to alter his appearance and help him evade capture. Until now, they had not shared any photographs that offered such a detailed close-up of the fugitive’s face.
