A warning has been issued for UK households using the oven over air fryers in December. Ahead of Christmas , UK households have been told they can save cash by ditching traditional cooking methods like ovens for air fryers.

UK households using air fryers for sausage and chips save £1.24, beans on toast 21p, and spashetti bolognese 8p. Roast chicken and potatoes, meanwhile, could save £3.65 in the air fryer. Jacket potatoes, meanwhile, save £1.77 - and pizzas make savings too.

The research was published by the Sun newspaper ahead of the festive season and busy Christmas period, where UK households will be cooking plenty.
