Prime Video has revealed first-look images of its new Guy Ritchie -directed period thriller series, “ Young Sherlock ,” showing Hero Fiennes Tiffin as the titular detective reimagined as a 19-year-old amateur investigator in the 1870s.

Inspired by Andy Lane’s “Young Sherlock” book series and told in Ritchie’s unmistakable cinematic style, the forthcoming show will share the origin story of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s iconic detective. It promises a youthful and unfiltered Holmes navigating his first-ever murder mystery case in a globe-trotting adventure.

Ritchie directs the series and executives produces alongside showrunner Matthew Parkhill, Dhana Gilbert, Marc Resteghini, Simon Maxwell, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Kelton and Colin Wilson. Harriet Creelman and Steve Thompson are co-executiv
