The African American Film Critics Association has voted Warner Bros’ vampire thriller Sinners its Best Film as the group revealed winners of its 17th annual AAFCA Awards .

Sinners , the genre mashup written and directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan, won a total of eight awards from the AAFCA in voting results revealed Tuesday including Best Actor for Jordan, Best Director and Best Writing for Coogler, a Supporting Actress win for Wunmi Mosaku and the Emerging Face (Actor) award for Miles Caton. Ludwig Göransson won for Best Music, and the film also took the Ensemble award.

Other multiple winners included Amazon MGM Studios’ Hedda , with the film landing No. 3 behind Sinners and Warner Bros’ One Battle After Another on the AAFCA’s Top 10 Films of the Y
