HANOVER TWP. — Police in Hanover Township charged Elijah Thomas Neal, 24, on allegations a shot was fired into a neighbor’s apartment as he cleared a rifle early Monday morning.
Neal, of South Main Street, Askam, was arraigned by District Judge Kyle Halesey of Hanover Township on four counts of recklessly endangering another person and a single count of discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure. Neal was released on $20,000 unsecured bail.
According to the criminal complaint:
A female called 911 after finding a bullet hole in her ceiling of her apartment on South Main Street in Askam. She was in the apartment with three children.
A surveillance camera inside her apartment recorded a projectile was fired from an upper floor apartment at 2:37 a.m., the complaint says.
