Katya Jones has broken her silence following her controversial Strictly Come Dancing departure alongside Lewis Cope during Sunday's results show.

The duo sparked outrage amongst viewers when they were eliminated during Musicals Week, after judges Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood gave lukewarm responses to their salsa performance set to music from Guys and Dolls.

Numerous fans threatened to boycott the programme following the decision, with many declaring the former Emmerdale star was "my winner" and vowing not to continue watching the series.
