Smriti Mandhana has resumed national duties after being named in India Women’s 15-member squad for the home T20I series against Sri Lanka. She recently went through a difficult phase after calling off her wedding with music composer Palash Muchhal.

Just a day after announcing the separation, the left-handed Mandhana returned to training . Her brother, Shravan Mandhana, shared a picture of her batting in the nets, fully focused on the game despite the personal setback.

India’s T20I series against Sri Lanka begins on December 21 with the opener in Visakhapatnam, which will also host the second match. The final three games of the series are scheduled for December 26, 28, and 30 in Thiruvananthapuram.
