OLATHE, Kan. —
Students arriving at a Johnson County, Kansas, high school were met with police Tuesday morning.
Officials with the Olathe School District said there was a report of someone entering the Olathe West High School building overnight. Advertisement
Police were called to the high school Tuesday morning to make sure the building was clear. As students arrived, they were directed to the main gym until police could give the all-clear to enter the building.
Officials said police have since given the go-ahead to continue school as normal.
The district said this decision was made out of an abundance of caution. A note was sent to parents notifying them of the search, and stating parents could keep their students home until the search was finished — students would not be counted t
