New Delhi: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday called for the demolition of Birch by Romeo Lane, the nightclub in Goa’s Arpora where a blaze claimed 25 lives.

Investigation had revealed a long list of illegalities according to the original landowner Pradeep Ghadi Amonkar, which were ignored for nearly two decades.

Meanwhile, Goa police on Tuesday has sought the assistance of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to secure an Interpol Blue Notice against Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, the principal accused and owners of the nightclub. The move comes after the brothers fled the country .

According to police, the Luthras are believed to have left for Phuket, Thailand, within hours of the blaze on Saturday.
