ORLANDO, Fla. — The trumpets have made their final blast at Citi Field.

Edwin Diaz is in agreement on a deal to become the Dodgers closer, according to multiple reports. The Athletic's Will Sammon was the first to report the news of Diaz's departure.

The deal is reportedly worth $69 million over three seasons. The 31-year-old Diaz had spent the last seven seasons with the Mets, where he earned two of his four All-Star appearances and won a pair of National League Reliever of the Year awards.

A season ago, Diaz finished 6-3 with 28 saves, a 1.63 ERA and 98 strikeouts in 66⅓ innings. He opted out of the final two years of his five-year, $102 million deal after the season.
