An investigation has been launched into the death of an AV Dawson worker at the Port of Middlesbrough..

Emergency services were called to the Riverside Park Industrial Estate on Monday (December 8) following an incident.

AV Dawson later confirmed it resulted in the death of one of its colleagues.

Cleveland Police has launched an investigation, and is working alongside the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

What happened?

An incident occurred at the Port of Middlesbrough, which is owned and operated by AV Dawson, just before 9.30am on Monday (December 8).

Ambulance crews were called to reports of a person injured, however, the nature of the incident remains unknown at this stage.
