LINCOLN, Neb. —
The Lancaster County attorney's office announced a charge against a Nebraska state senator.
According to a news release from Pat Condon's office, the Nebraska State Patrol had conducted an investigation that involved state Sen. Dan McKeon of Amherst, Nebraska.
A criminal complaint was filed in Lancaster County that charged McKeon with disturbing the peace of another in May 2025.
The offense is a Class 3 misdemeanor.
In October, the Nebraska State Patrol cited McKeon for inappropriately touching a woman.

Following that announcement, Gov. Jim Pillen called for McKeon to resign , but McKeon said he will not be stepping down.
