The co-owner of a North East restaurant says that he is "bitterly disappointed" after a break-in in the early hours of the morning. Jonny Dryden, who runs Blacks Corner in East Boldon with Chris Lowden, arrived at work on Tuesday to find a smashed front door and the safe having been taken.
The safe was found in nearby Grange Park with all of the contents emptied, including cash, important documents and licences. Police are treating the incident as a burglary and have appealed to the public for help.
