LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced four new projects, including one in Clinton County, that are expected to create more than 1,300 jobs and generate over $240 million in investment across Michigan.

The Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA) will create 76 new jobs and invest up to $122.6 million in its facilities in the City of Ovid and Wheatland Township following Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF) Board approval of an MBDP grant and two separate Alternative State Essential Services Assessment exemptions.

In the City of Ovid, MMPA will add 13 new jobs and expand its existing campus to increase processing capacity for ultrafiltered milk, a key ingredient in products such as high-protein yogurts and ready-to-drink shakes.
