A schoolboy has been stabbed to death, police have confirmed.

The 15-year-old boy was stabbed at about 1pm on Tuesday, December 9.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene in Westbourne Road, Islington.

The boy was treated by medics for a stab wound before being taken to hospital.

But he could not be saved and died later in the afternoon.

The Metropolitan Police said his family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
