A U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent has been charged in a federal indictment with robbing and raping women in Chicago’s suburbs in 2022, including at least one at gunpoint.
Luis Uribe, 44, was charged in a 12-page indictment unsealed in U.S. District Court on Tuesday with ten counts of deprivation of civil rights under color of law and one count of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
Uribe, of the far northwest suburb of Pinegree Grove, was arrested Tuesday morning and is scheduled to appear before a federal magistrate judge at the Dirksen U.S. Courthouse at 1:30 p.m.
The indictment alleged Uribe was acting under his official capacity when he committed a series of robberies, sexual assaults, and attempted sexual assaults
