The 1998 drama, The Magnificent Seven, is a television series based on the 1960 film, which was itself a remake of the 1954 Japanese film, Seven Samurai. The series, which is now streaming on Amazon Prime , was developed by Pen Densham and John Watson.

It includes a stellar cast, including Michael Biehn, Eric Close, Ron Perlman, and Robert Vaughn, who played one of the seven gunmen in the 1960 film. The two-series drama follows seven men from the Midwest who band together and develop their own law in a town that, for better or for worse, needs their protection from the lawlessness of the wild, wild west.
