TYLER, Texas — CBS News has named award-winning journalist Matt Gutman as chief correspondent for the network.
Guttman joins the CBS News from ABC News where he served as chief correspondent there as well. He will be reporting for CBS Mornings and CBS Evening News. He will also serve as lead correspondent for 48 Hours, contribute to 60 Minutes and fill-in anchor.
According to CBS News, Gutman has spent almost 30 years reporting on major national and global events from the Israel-Hamas conflict and Russia’s war in Ukraine to the COVID-19 pandemic, the death of George Floyd, devastating Texas floods and mass shootings nationwide.
