A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 1:34 p.m. valid from Wednesday 4 a.m. until Thursday 1 a.m. for Northern Saratoga, Northern Warren, Northern Washington, Western Ulster and Southeast Warren.
"Total snow accumulations between 2 and 6 inches. The highest amounts reaching up to 6 to 7 inches in the foothills of the southern Adirondacks," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "Snowfall rates up to 0.5 to 1 inch per hour Wednesday morning through early afternoon."
"Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes," adds the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while travel
