More than thirty-six hours after a heavy-duty truck crashed in Brazoria County, spilling hundreds of gallons of molten sulfur, much of the damage has yet to be cleaned up because the sulfur is still too hot.
Early Monday morning, a truck carrying molten sulfur rolled over along Texas State Highway 35, near Bar X Ranch, in Angleton, according to the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office. By early Tuesday afternoon, much of the damage was still there.
As much as 1,200 gallons of molten sulfur were spilled from the truck, according to the Brazoria County Fire Marshal's Office. Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) confirmed its hazmat contractor was on scene. Sign up for the Hello, Houston! daily newsletter to get local reports like this delivered direc
