OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The last time we were in the 50s was two weeks ago! With a high of 52° this afternoon, this is also going to be the warmest we’ll get for at least a week. Unfortunately, the nice weather will only stick around for a few more hours.

The wind will start to pick up this evening and only continue to increase overnight tonight. The strongest winds will arrive after midnight when gusts as high as 60 mph possible into Wednesday morning. This is strong enough to cause damage and even power outages. Bring any holiday decorations indoors if you can!

Because of the intense wind overnight, a High Wind Warning is in effect through 8AM Wednesday morning for winds gusting up to 60 mph. A Wind Advisory is also in effect for counties on the southern half of our viewing area.
