The Toys for Tickets campaign has wrapped up in both Fort Saskatchewan and St. Albert, a system in which those who receive parking tickets can gift a toy instead of paying for the ticket.

Throughout November, RCMP departments in Fort Saskatchewan and St. Albert were collecting toys, with 76 toys collected in Fort Saskatchewan to be donated to the Fort Saskatchewan Families First Society and 120 toys sent to St. Albert Transit’s Fill-A-Bus campaign.

Some St. Albert residents donated toys to the campaign out of the goodness of their hearts, not being asked to give in exchange for the ticket. Just over 100 tickets were issued in St. Albert, so about 15 residents donated toys.
