Almost all of the Edmonton-area transit services are now offering a tap-to-pay system to pay for fares.

Riders can now use physical cards or digital chips like Apple Pay or Samsung Wallet to pay for their fare, instead of needing change to purchase a physical ticket.

This new system has been implemented in all regions that use the Arc Card system, including Edmonton, St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Fort Saskatchewan, Strathcona County and Beaumont, with Leduc entering the system soon.

Those using any of these systems can now use the following payment meathods on any Arc validator:

Mastercard

Visa

Interac Debit

American Express

Google Wallet

Samsung Wallet

Apple Pay
