This Instagram page, Photos Of Pet Cemeteries, shares photos taken by Rachel, who documents pet headstones to honor them. The photos might seem sad at first glance, but they're actually a way to share these pets' stories and keep their memory alive. Rachel visits the graves of cats, dogs, birds, and even the occasional raccoon.

Some pets passed recently, while others lived in the mid-20th century. What all these animals share is how deeply their owners loved them. Many graves display photos of the pet, while others feature beautiful stone statues.

One of my favorite photos shows this shared ferret and cat grave. Finding a ferret grave must be rare when you're a pet cemetery photographer. Both animals' photos are so sweet, and I'm glad they were buried together. 00:00/11:46 10
