London is taking centre stage in a holiday film about to hit two major U.S. broadcasters – the Oprah Winfrey Network and HBO Max.
A Very Merry Mystery, described as a romantic mystery, will air Dec. 13 and viewers will see London dressed up as a Christmas and winter wonderland, even though it was filmed in a July heat wave, said Kelly Peckham, co-owner of Broad Films, the London production company that oversaw filming here.
“It means that we can very much do this in London. We have the locations and local talent to pull off major filmmaking here,” Peckham said of the movie.
“It’s a huge boost to our industry and great training for our crews.”
The filming in late June and early July saw crews on set in Wortley Village and at Western University, to name a few sites. Crew were busy making
