An investigation is underway after a reported shooting Tuesday on the East Side has caused road closures in the area.

San Antonio police officers were dispatched just after 4 p.m. Tuesday to the Artisan at Willow Springs Apartments in the 500 block of Gembler Road.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to KSAT that the shooting involved a Bexar County constable. At this time, it is unclear how the constable was impacted in the shooting.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar is expected to provide details of the shooting.

Authorities have closed nearby roads as they work the scene.
