As another winter storm approaches central Wisconsin , both the City of Stevens Point and the Village of Plover have declared snow emergencies.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, the storm is expected to bring 4-7 inches of wet snow across central Wisconsin Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
City of Stevens Point snow emergency
Mayor Mike Wiza declared a snow emergency from 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9 through 6 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 for Stevens Point, according to a proclamation shared by the mayor.
The proclamation states that during the snow emergency, vehicles may not be parked or left standing on any portion of city streets. This also prohibits on-street overnight parking during the same timeframe. Vehicles in violation of the order will be subject to a
