CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Benton County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is seeking public assistance to identify a deceased man found in the Willamette River. They released images of the man's tattoos due to a lack of leads.
Deputies discovered the body near river mile 122 by Hyak Park after a report from a river-goer. The man does not match any local missing persons.
Two tattoos were found on the man: a color sea-goat figure on the upper left arm, possibly a Capricorn symbol, and a black-and-white jester on the right ribcage with the phrase "Life’s all fun & games until the joke is on You."
The man also has a scar above his navel, but his race remains unknown. He had likely been in the water for at least a week.
BCSO typically keeps such details private, but the lack of leads prompted the release
