KILLEEN, Texas — As more than 100 women come forward with allegations against suspended Fort Hood OBGYN Major Blaine McGraw , a local organization is providing a critical lifeline for survivors of military sexual trauma.
Shield of Sisters, in partnership with Restorative Hope Sanctuary, has opened a dedicated safe space in Killeen where survivors can process their trauma without judgment, paperwork, or cost.
"We wanted them to have a place that they could come and actually say how they felt or even process the information," said Jo Harrison, Director of Survivor Support Services for Shield of Sisters. "We don't want them to feel alone. We want them to feel heard."
