Multiple cars in Snohomish County became stuck Tuesday morning after attempting to drive through flooded roads and areas.

In one instance, according to KIRO 7 , a woman needed to be rescued after her car was stopped in flooded water on Ben Howard Road, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. The female driver waited for help by climbing onto the roof of her car. The sheriff’s office sent Snohomish Fire crews to her by boat after using a drone to locate her.

She was not injured in the incident.

“Several cars got stuck this morning after trying to drive through flooded roads,” the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office stated. “Please stay safe: don’t go around road closed signs and turn around if you see water over the roadway — it’s usually much deeper than it looks.”
