A large tree came crashing down and sliced through a home in Kitsap County Wednesday morning.
The homeowner and his two dogs were fortunately uninjured, Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue reported via Facebook .
The tree fell around 11:30 a.m. on Francis Avenue Northwest.
Crews made sure the man was OK and then secured the gas and checked for leaks.
Cascade Natural Gas and Puget Sound Energy were dispatched to turn off the utilities. Firefighters then helped clear the driveway.
The homeowner told authorities the front corner of his house is his daughter’s room, but she wasn’t home at the time.
“We’re grateful this call didn’t have a worse outcome,” Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue wrote.
