Harvest season is over for crops like corn and soybeans on farms like this one, but the uncertainty for farmers' business remains.
Local farmers call the $12 billion in federal aid a “step in the right direction.” The president announced that aid package for farmers Monday.
We spoke with Nebraska and Iowa producers about how it will counter the rise in tariffs
“The last few years it's been really tight margins,” Kevin Ross, sixth-generation Iowa farmer, said.
He produces soybeans and corn crops and reflected on his crop yield this year.
“On the corn side, it was one of the worst I've had in 25 years,” Ross said. “But soybeans are pretty good.”
