Syracuse, N.Y. — A Manlius home was badly damaged by a fire Tuesday during a snowstorm.
Around 4:31 p.m., firefighters from The Minoa Fire Department were called to 7520 Kirkville Road for the house fire, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.
The caller was a 12-year-old girl who said the fire started in the kitchen and began to spread, according to dispatches.
When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy flames and smoke coming from the house.
The girl was out of the house when firefighters arrived. She was evaluated by a Minoa Ambulance at the scene for cold exposure, according to dispatches.
Firefighters were still at the scene around 7 p.m.
Kirkville Road was closed between Fremont Road and Schepps Corners Road for over an hour.
The cause of the fire is under investig
