Several Washington rivers have flooded, or are expected to, due to heavy rain, with several waterways predicted to surpass their highest recorded flood stages.

Early Tuesday provided a brief reprieve from Monday’s record-breaking rainfall, but another bout of rain bringing even more drama is expected Thursday. The National Weather Service issued flood warnings for several Western Washington rivers effective through Friday: the Snoqualmie River near Snoqualmie Falls; the Puyallup River in Puyallup, affecting Pierce County; and the Nisqually River near National, affecting Pierce and Lewis counties.
