Panaji: Ajay Gupta, one of four owners of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub, detained in Delhi, will be transported to Goa on Wednesday for interrogation regarding the fire that killed 25 people at the venue, a senior official stated.

A Look Out Circular had previously been issued for Gupta after the Goa police failed to locate him at his Delhi home. "We later managed to detain him in Delhi," the official said, noting Gupta faces arrest post-formalities for transit to Goa.

"Gupta will be flown to Goa on Wednesday for interrogation," the official added.

Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra, primary owners of the Arpora nightclub, escaped to Phuket, Thailand, after the December 6 midnight blaze; an Interpol Blue Corner Notice has been issued against them. Police also issued a Look Out Circula
