HINDMAN, Ky. (WYMT) - Knox Central took care of business against Leslie County in the WYMT Food City Mountain Classic, knocking off the Eagles, 62-43 in the consolation round.
Leslie County ended up taking the lead after the first period, 11-8, but the Panthers would outscore the Eagles, 19 to 13 in the second stanza to take a three-point lead into the locker room.
From that point on, Tony Patterson’s crew would control the contest and put Leslie County away.
The Panthers are scheduled to face Nelson County in their next game. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Dec. 18.
The Eagles begin district play at Hazard in their next matchup. Tip-off slated for 7:15 p.m. on Dec. 16.
