NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Metro Nashville Public Schools is continuing to look at possibly changing school start times.
Over the past month, from Nov. 5 through Nov. 23, MNPS spokesperson Sean Braisted said they’ve engaged with thousands of stakeholders and families.
Braisted said engagement included 13 focus groups of more than 110 participants, two town halls with more than 200 attendees and extensive outreach at Celebration of Schools. MNPS also held a survey, which generated 16,377 responses and was offered in seven different languages.
The survey asked participants two questions to choose from:
“Do you like your start times?” and “Do you like the idea of changing it?” Braisted said.
