KOCHI: Alan, friend of Chitrapriya, has been arrested in connection with her murder in Malayattoor. He was arrested after he confessed to the crime. He told them that he killed her by hitting her head with a stone after a fight. The CCTV visuals turned crucial in the case.

The police had got the CCTV footage of Chitrapriya going with Alan on his bike. The visuals were captured at 1.53 am on Sunday. The girl was pillion riding on Alan’s bike. There were two others on another bike with them. Soon after getting the girl’s missing complaint, the police examined the CCTV footage, summoned Alan and questioned him.
