Jamie Carragher has apologised to Mohamed Salah on live television for any disrespect the Liverpool forward. feels Carragher did so after the Reds beat Inter in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Looking down the camera lens during CBS Sports' coverage, he said: "Mo, I apologise, I've upset you. I love you as the Liverpool player, but you just need to behave yourself off the pitch." The apology came after fellow pundit Micah Richards called on his colleague to do so.

He asked Carragher: "Would you like to apologise to Mo, and just say sorry for any disrespect? It just comes from passion, you're a fan, go on, just say it down the lens."
