New Delhi: Ayush Mhatre-led India U-19 team will begin their campaign against UAE U-19 in the upcoming U-19 Asia Cup 2025. The tournament is set to get underway in the UAE on Friday, December 12. India will lock horns with UAE in the tournament opener at the ICC Academy in Dubai.
The U-19 Asia Cup will serve as a preparatory event for the ICC U-19 World Cup, which is set to take place in January next year. Eight teams from Asia will be taking part in the continental age-group tournament. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Malaysia, Nepal, and hosts UAE will be participating in the tournament.
The eight teams have been divided into two groups of four each. The top two teams from the group stage will qualify for the semi-finals. Both semi-finals will be played at the ICC
