Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s scheduled Germany tour from December 15 to 20 has triggered a fresh political confrontation.

With the winter session of Parliament underway until December 19, the BJP has sharply criticised Gandhi for travelling abroad during this period.

BJP leaders including Kangana Ranaut, Sanjay Jaiswal and Shehzad Poonawalla, attacked Gandhi, alleging that he prioritises "vacation mode" over parliamentary responsibilities. Poonawalla said Rahul Gandhi has again proven that "LoP means Leader of Tourism", calling him a non-serious politician.
