By now, all the bags and containers in the fridge from your Thanksgiving leftovers should be long gone. That's a good thing because you're going to need the space for all the leftovers of Christmas meals to come.

But what will those meals be? Helping folks make those kinds of holiday decisions was a joy for the Montgomery Advertiser's Louise Bennett Weaver, author of the "Helping the Homemaker" column. On Dec. 20, 1935, she planned out a huge Christmas dinner for everyone, and 90 years later I'm bringing it back.

While you're out shopping for supplies, pick up a big box of gallon-size freezer bags. Your horde will eat a bunch, but there's so much food ahead that you're definitely going to have leftovers.
