A councillor has been criticised for being "disrespectful" to the victims of a paedophile headteacher after he started eating a meal during a council meeting.
Neil Foden, the headteacher of Ysgol Friars in Bangor and strategic head of Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle, had for years escaped any consequences for his offending despite numerous concerns and 52 missed opportunities to stop him.
These were highlighted in a damning report following a Child Practice Review. It finally ended in 2023 when a claim of sexual assault was made by a child and Foden arrested. Last year he was jailed for 17 years after being convicted of 19 charges involving four girls.
