Who says the papers only print bad news? The other day, the paper said life expectancy in Arkansas was trending up. And who wouldn't want to spend a little more time in Arkansas?

Life expectancy was up in 2022 by 1.4 years in this state. (Unfortunately, it's still lower than what it was before the covid pandemic, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. But good news, good news! Focus!)

In 2021, life expectancy at birth was 72.5 years. It jumped to 73.9 in 2022. It also increased in 47 other states.

Vermont and Maine were the only two states where it decreased, but that's probably because they started out higher than average.

Canadians live three years longer, and 25 countries in Europe alone also live longer than we do.
