ATLANTA — The Georgia Supreme Court heard oral arguments Tuesday involving Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis challenging a subpoena from a state Senate committee wanting her to testify.

In October, the Special Investigations Committee led by Republican state Senator Bill Cowsert originally had Willis testifying in November.

The committee is looking into allegations about Willis' use of public funds during the Fulton County 2020 election interference case involving President Donald Trump. This case was dismissed in November after Willis was disqualified from prosecuting it.

Willis had refused to testify to the state Senate committee, arguing that the subpoena was unlawful.
