MADISON – Tackett Curtis went from valued starter for the University of Wisconsin defense at the beginning of the season to barely playing at the end of it.

Now the 6-foot-2, 235-pound inside linebacker reportedly is looking for a new school. On3 reported that Curtis informed it that he will enter the transfer portal. Curtis didn’t make an official announcement, but posted the report on his X and Instagram pages.

He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Curtis, who transferred to Wisconsin from USC following the 2023 season, played in 24 games at Wisconsin. He started the first seven games this year but played only a handful of defensive snaps during the final five games.
